Found in the south of england in a wood (decidious) growing in clusters of about 10-20 in leaf litter, possibly following the line of scyamore roots, a dying one was growing very nearby
The largest speicmen was about 6cm tall, with a 2cm wide cap.
The young specimens had transclucent darker brown caps, the older ones were creamier, with a darker brown stipe.
The gills were not brittle, very crowded, creamy gills same colour as cap
The specimen dried out very quickly, within 5 minutes of being pulled
stipe very flat and thin
no bruising anywhere
