A.spissa or A.rubecens

You will think me an idiot but ~I always get these two mixed up, colour blindness is a curse! I blame my mother (geneticist joke there

). Anyway.. which is this please.

I'm now going for A.spissa but I originally thought the latter.

Hi

In A.rubescens the flesh turns reddish when bruised or exposed to the air, often resulting in pink spots on the gills, however there is a form that does not turn pink, var.alba, in this case check the spore size; A spissa = 9-10 x 8-9 and A rubescens = 8-9 x 5-5.5

Can't be 100% sure from the pic, but I would say rubescens for the following reasons:

It looks to me like the slug bites in the cap are starting to redden.
Not sure, but I don't believe excelsa would get the colouring at the base of the stipe.
Again not sure, but I would expect excelsa to have a more true steely grey colour on the cap.
