Hahahah, genius! I wish mate, Cortinarius praestans better show up for me this year or I shalln't be happy I've been runnig in the evenings over on the local heath and that's turned up a few Agaricus and lots of Marasmius oreades. I still give it a month or two here before we see any proper action (Violet's hogging it all! )

Probably will bump into you at some point Violet! WAB's starting to get more East Anglian fungi hunters which may warrant a Norfolk fungi meet at some point! Would be great At Santon Downham at the height of the season, there are some seriously special things to see in some excellent habitats.

Hi Violet, that last one seems to have no takers!
What substrate was it on?
Mossy area anyway.
I'll throw some outlandish suggestions, it may spark someone................
Dead mans fingers, but only one, which would be unusual, so unlikely, but it is that weird shape they can have.
Better perhaps is a puffball, pestle or brown maybe? Exculpiforme or bovista nigrescens?
Just a thought.
