| | | Coprinus I noticed a small (8mm cap) Coprinus on my compost heap today.
With lageniform pileocystidia with a swollen tip
and vesicular cells in the pp
The spores were hexagonal
This points to Coprinus marculentus. Is there anything else anyone could suggest.

| | | Re: Coprinus Looks good to me. I presume they looked something like this - Coprinus marculentus ((Hoekigsporige donsinktzwam, 026.36.0))
I've had a rash of what I assume are Coprinopsis friesii on my lawn, they popped up last night at dusk, and had almost gone by this morning. But did manage to get some photos. Though the spores are on the large side, and the veil elements are not as thick walled as they are meant to be ... but that is the closest fit.
Cheers

| | | Re: Coprinus Thanks Melanie
I used the same information which I have as a stand alone program DETPRO. That and FOS and Derek Schafers key.
Thanks
