Pluteus?
I found a bunch of these growing in clumps by the roadside yesterday. They were fairly dry and I couldn't obtain a spore print. After looking through some identification books the only genus that stands out to me as a possibility is Pluteus. The only thing is, the time of year seems way too early.

Can anyone shed any light onto my gloomy appraisal?
