| | | Re: Chicken(s) of the Woods Hi and welcome to WAB (always good to get people resident in God's Own County! - is that the Derwent I spy?); it has struck me in the past that the Malton/Kirkham/Howsham axis could keep a mycologist happy for the best part of a lifetime - no need to go anywhere else! this post would perhaps have been better added to the Chicken Of The Woods. thread, then it would be less likely to disappear as more threads appear
perhaps FungiJohn could do that for you if you thought it a good idea?
cheers
Chris
( *) whoops - just noticed - you've been around for a bit . . . . (last August)

Yes it is the Derwent! It is a great area - lovely walks, woods, etc. This is the first time I've spotted Chicken of the Woods. I was n't even looking - was just admiring the bluebells and saw the almost flourescent yellow of the brackets really standing out.
Sorry - had n't realised there was a specific thread for Chicken of the Woods. If Fungi John can shift it across that would be great!
Cheers
