| | | Another specimen for more experienced eyes I found these yesterday growing in soil on a woodland path. There were two groups growing near each other, small clumps of four or five young specimens. The largest fungus in this picture is around 10cm tall.
I'm thinking it could possibly be an Inocybe, but this is more of a wild stab in the dark. Help with ID would be appreciated. Thanks |

| | | Re: Another specimen for more experienced eyes I am not sure but they look like Lacrymaria lacrymabunda the Weeping widow.

just a thought - in some of your recent posts the photo's of a Parasola species, the Agrocybe praecox and this one all look to be rather over-exposed - this one for example is very pale for this species, and a lot of the subtlety in the caps particularly is lost; it might be worth making some adjustments to the set up of the camera; I always try to err on the side of slightly under-exposing, as it's a lot easier to tweak those images at a later stage than it is the other way round
this is meant in a positive criticism kind of way - hope you're not offended
cheers
Chris

| | | Re: Another specimen for more experienced eyes Thanks Chris, constructive criticism is always welcome as I put much time and effort into photographing fungi. Would you suggest playing around with the white balance settings or perhaps something else?
