Deformed 'monster' fungus on dead Birch
Hello all

I found this fungus growing on dead Birch at Clumber Park 26th April 2011.

I'm assuming it's a deformed 'monster' fungus but would welcome comments.



I've left it in situ and will check later

My thoughts too, given the distinctive colour and texture of the 'cap'. Early but then again it's from Clumber, so no real surprise
