" Small Bottle brush like " fungi ?

I got a problem in my garden and I'm trying to find out how to get rid of them it's like a small bottle brush growing out of the ground and there is lots of them in with my roses, please can anyone help me ?

Is it Marestail? If so, you have problem.
They were one of the very first "Flowering Plants" on Earth and have not survived for this long without good reason.

Thank you I have found it it's " Field Horsetail's " I have got growing in my garden.

Yes, I have this is a garden I look after too and it's nigh impossible to get rid of ! Even digging down 2-3 ft to remove as much of the stem as possible has no effect and you have to be sure you leave no broken black pieces of the stem behind as these will grow again.

I just try to keep on top of it by pulling up by hand when it reaches 6 inches.
