Thanks for your help Andy. Like I say, it's my first spring so I have nothing to compare it with. I'm really looking forward to Autumn so that I can revisit sights from last season and compare them with this year. Last September/October was when my interest in mycology really kicked in, so to speak.
If you are the Andy Overall that runs the 'fungi to be with' website, which I'm guessing you are, I'd like to congratulate and thank you for such an informative and helpful website. Yours was one of the first sites I stumbled across last year in my search to see if there was anybody else out there who got all excited about these strange and elusive organisms. I was all but too late to book up for one of your London forays and was working on those days that were still available! I did manage to make it up to Hampstead Heath on my own one rainy October afternoon though and had a really great afternoon. It's somewhere I had never been before and I had no idea it was such a great site for fungi until I started to read your website. So, again, thanks Andy for sharing your knowledge. I really hope I can make it to one of your 2011 forays.

Wayne | Hi Wayne,
Yes you've got the right person. I'm very pleased to hear that you found the website informative and helpful. You have chosen a wonderful subject to delve into, fungi are very alluring and curious, a great combination.
Its all my pleasure in helping bring them to you.

I find it most on well degraded birch and beech in contact with the ground.
