| | | St Georges train
I've never seen such a long train of St Georges as I did yesterday. I went back this morning to count them with a tally counter and photograph them. There were 317 in a train just over 10m long.   |

just a thought - wouldn't this have been better posted on the St Georges Mushrooms. thread rather than as a one-off?

You're right Chris, I should've looked first but noticed that there were a couple of related links when I posted this thread. Brain slightly dulled by an early start this morning.
These were on a very dry substrate and I was surprised to see them. I don't think they will get to a decent size without rain. We had a decent frost first thing this morning too. | | |
