| |  Strange looking fungi found along riverbank
Last night while walking through the silt along the river bank here in Perthshire Scotland and I came across this strange looking fungi. 
Any help in an id would be apreciated as it seems to be a very mature one and I'm not so sure what it would have looked like originally.

it's strictly a fung us and you could be posting on this thread here: Morels 2011
does that give you a clue?   (oh and it's not M. elata)

I didn't just find a fungus on the walk I found fungi - just showed one pic the rest are smaller.
Thanks for the link - I'll not be mentioning where I found them all. |
