I've seen some St Georges in local woodland. Checked my usual patch last week and they hadn't popped up yet. Its an open patch so it may be a little dry as we haven't had much rain for a few weeks now but the rings are prominent in the grass. |

| | | Re: St Georges Mushrooms. Local St. George patches I know are near woodland edges, beneath hedgerows and hidden among the shrubs at the back of some flats - leaf-littered, fairly shady places. I'm in Cheshire.
You might be too late this year. A couple of weeks ago they were out and some were getting dry as they do.
Anyway good luck! |

Last time I checked a few weeks ago they weren't up yet, but unfortunately I have been unable to go back and check, although I suspect its been a bit dry for them this year.
Also, as JdeV says, I have seen them along woodland edges but they've gone over now.
Good luck. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
