hehe, usually not, that's right. But Gymnopilus junonius often has a bulbose stipe when young. Look e.g. at this picture from the net: http://www.hlasek.com/foto/gymnopilu...ius_ai8892.jpg

You can find more like those. They ressemble much the fungus shown above, don't you think too?
