The second picture makes me think more of Clitocybe nebularis

Mal | Take your point Mal; the pale colour, size and the fact that there were only 2, (one very big and one recently emerged), suggested Leucopaxillus. On the other hand it maybe was a bit too shady for L. giganteus.
BTW is Clouded Funnel now Lepista nebularis?

At the moment the Checklist gives us this
Clitocybe nebularis (Batsch) P. Kumm., Führ. Pilzk. (Zwickau): 124 (1871)
Agaricus nebularis Batsch, Elench. fung. Cont. secunda (Halle): 25 & tab. 33, fig. 193 (1789)
Gymnopus nebularis (Batsch) Gray, Nat. Arr. Brit. Pl. (London) 1: 609 (1821)
Clitocybe nebularis var. alba Bataille, Bull. Soc. mycol. Fr. 27: 370 (1911)
Clitocybe alba (Bataille) Singer, Lilloa 22: 186 (1951) [1949]
Lepista nebularis (Batsch) Harmaja, Karstenia 14: 91 (1974)
Which means (I think) it has been put forward that this species should be called Lepista nebularis but because this it the type species for Clitocybe it has as yet not been accepted by the powers that be in this country. No doubt Andrea will now come along and explain why we should rename.
