Bracket fungus ID ?

Growing on dead Alder in a mature broad-leaf forest. Judging by the state of the wood these are certainly annual or this year's growth. Any suggestions as to the species ?

Without seeing the hymenium it's hard to know where to start, but my immediate thought was Plicaturopsis crispa. I only know this species from the books, though, never having found it myself. It has been reported on alder.

The last photo of Plicaturopsis (now Plicatura) crispa looks just like the ones you have posted

In the UK it is restricted to northern England and Scotland

Thanks for the suggestions and the link to Yves' site. It's clear that I need to take more photos from different aspects for species ID
