Trying to ID a shroom in my back woods, closest I can get is the giant funnel cap. Info and images below, any help mucho appreciated :-)
Habitat: Pine needles, coniferous woods, grows on ground.
Season: Late Autumn/Early Winter
Cap Size: Varies from 8-15cm (may well grow larger).
Stem: Simple, short and fat, colour cream to tan, (tan probably with age)
Gills: Cream, decurrent, crowded.
Smell: Faint pleasent mushroom smell.
Spore Print: Will update tomorrow.
Additional info: Does not bruise or bleed, cap seems wavy but probably due to size more than anything. Full of lil worms munching their way through them and seems to be a cluster of around 15+. Nearby there are tawny funnel caps and wood blewits. Some are growing right in the woods on pine needles and a few right at the edge on grassy pine needly land.
