| | | Can someone please help with identification I have tried to identify and think I have got one or two but not sure and would love to have confirmation is possible.
All three fungi were on limestone.
I think the first two photos are a type of Milkcap, but not sure which?
and the following could be xylaria hypoxylon - candlesnuff
and the orange coloured ones could be a type of deceiver but not sure.

The top one looks more like Clitocybe geotropa to me but I don`t think its possible to be certain from the image. I have a group of C. geotropa close by, it comes up annually, (although not very prolific this year), and it always seems more durable than nebularis, surviving frost and lasting well into December.
Cheers

Pete | You could well be right - cap is rather funnel-shaped; though with regard to your second point it's interesting that a couple of rings of nebularis have popped up in the Park next to where I work since the frosts
cheers
Chris

| | | Re: Can someone please help with identification Just if it helps. Where I found this speciman on leaf debris on limestone gullies etc. There was lots of it, lots of large and extra large specimens over a area of say 50 square foot.
