Cortinarius?

This one has been driving me to distraction these last two nights and I just can't pin it down at all. I don't even know if I've got the right group but I'm at a loss as to what this is and yet it looks fairly distinctive.

Found growing out of a collapsed steep bank with most of the stipe hidden beneath ground. Directly under an oak but with beech close by. I picked the lowest of the the three fruit bodies because the cap showed signs of splitting which i thought might be a diagnostic feature. I was most surprised by it's internal colour when I cut it in half as I was expecting white due to the stipe.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm getting a headache

looks more like a Psathyrella . . . . they tend to come with a headache as a free extra!!

Heh, the hollow stem had me looking at Psathyrella but it seemed quite a tough fungus... growing out of a near verticle wall of earth. Perhaps my knife is too sharp and that's why I didn't sense any brittleness. Ah well, atr least my head ache has lessened slightly.
