| | | Corprinus auricomus? Bearing in mind I'm going on macro features I'm inclined to believe this is C. auricomus (or Parasola auricoma if that's the current name  ) but part of me is wondering if it's actually C. Impatiens (or Corprinellus impatiens if that's the current name  ) but I've read that that is more frequent down south and this was up in Gateshead.
Found growing under beech and larch. Feel free to correct me

I think you are more likely to be right with your second choice C impatiens. If you have a hand lens you could see the hairs on the central part of C auricomus.

But without a lens (or microscope  ) is there any definitive way of separating the two?
