Ken | Hi Ken
This is a Nectria species. look out for Nectria episphaeria on Hypoxylon fragiforme which should be showing soon.
John

| | | Re: tiny red balls? Thanks a lot John, great stuff, - I knew it may be ( ) as its so close to Nectria peziza, except wrong colour, but couldnt find it - I'll try a different tack with that steer now.

This looks remarkably similar to what you posted previously: a few tinies for help.
Without any visible ostioles and with those transparent stems, I'm sticking with Trichia/Hemitrichia sp.
Regards, Nick. |

Ken | This time I would go with Hemitrichia calyculata.

Can I ask why you would suggest this species rather than, for example Hemitrichia clavata or Trichia decipiens?
Cheers, Nick.

Cheers, Nick. | Nick
I chose that because rather unscientifically "it looks like one I found earlier"
The colour matches perfectly for H calyculata at this stage and although I would not usually id until I could check the pointed capillitium for Trichia or branching for calyculata and check spore sizes I still think it is the most likely.
