Found growing in mixed deciduous woodland. Very pale coffee colour with no bruising when damaged. Approx 40mm high. Closest I can come up with is Ramaria pallida

Ramaria pallida is a rarity NBN Gateway: Ramaria pallida grid map
but I don't think you have a Ramaria there

the difference in colour between the exterior/interior shots is rather extreme
I suspect that you have one of the "varieties" of Clavulina coralloides there

Looking at the map I'm inclined to agree, this was no where near those sites. I'm now wondering how I missed C. Coralloides ("usually white but sometimes cream or ochre." Collins Complete Guide). It also makes me wonder what causes the colour variations in this fungus.
