Clavulinopsis for id please

Hi

Found in grassland so you would expect it to be Clavulinopsis corniculata, but the beige colour made me wonder if it could be Clavulinopsis umbrinella? Could I confirm without a microscope?

One book I looked at said C. corniculata can vary in colour from yellow to tan. If so is this common?

Collins has the colour of Clavulinopsis corniculata as 'light yolk-yellow, maturing ochre' and my other books say similar, so I would put this down as C. corniculata especially in view of the habitat.

the fruitbody looks quite frsh to me and I don't think that this is Clavulinopsis corniculata. Only when old and frozen, C. corniculata may take such a brownish colouration. I thnk that this is something "better", a Ramariopsis species, but can't say which one.
Clavulinopsis corniculata has a distinct mealy smell when crushed in fresh state, a smell similar to Calocybe gambosa. Microscopically it often (always?) has two-spored basidia.
