| | World record fungus challenge? Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can beat this 14 point stags/Candlesnuff head?
Before I send it to Guinness records to be substantiated of course, just to be sure.
Must be on one upright body only with photographic evidence. You are not allowed any creative knifework to slit like you would with Clover....................!
Cheers

I've been thinking there should be a champion fungus list like the champion tree list. Except a lot longer....... Then we'd all know whether the fungi at Clumber really are bigger

| | | Re: World record fungus challenge? Well, it was great fun with the kids group fungus foray counting candlesnuff points, young Beth found this one at 18 points, and was very excited at breaking the world record - I had to explain it was just, err, my bit of fun but it was on t'internet.....................
At least it got their attention on fungi.
Rubbish shot, it was dark, no tripod, but you have to trust me, the centre stalk had 18 stag points.
OK, come on then, any takers or is it only me thats mad???
Cheers

| | | Re: World record fungus challenge? Excellent Laura, thats a belter and I'm searching for a relatively clean epithet or headline to do it justice, something along the lines of 'Morchella scores a thirty' or 'Laura the stag explorer tops out'............................!!
Cheers
