Identification Help Please!

Hello

We have a patch of mushrooms under a tree in our garden.
They start off a pale brown with a darker chestnut tip, before eventually turning a darker brown and then seemingly rotting (?) from the centre of the group out.

I cant seem to find anything in my searches but I want to make sure that they are not poisonous.
My eldest boy (almost 3) is showing a keen interest in them and I want to make sure they are firstly safe for him to have a poke and look at but also that I can tell him something accurate.
Looking at the pictures online I am thinking it may be 'clustered Bonnet'

They do indeed look like Coprinellus micaceus. They're perfectly safe for your son to have a poke at
