Your third looks like a dried out horse mushroom, which I have also found behind dunes. Was there an aniseed smell ? |

| | | Re: 3 for ID from Gower sand dunes, please. I'm not very good on smells at the best of times and all I can remember is that it was "not mushroomy", but I wasn't aware of aniseed or anything else particularly. Which means very little with my sense of smell - I can recognise "pleasant", "nasty" and ! Then again, I was cold and fed up and being called (as if I couldn't find my way back to the car park on my own ) so
Any more views, anybody, pretty please?
Or should I just consign the photos to the "Pretend I never saw it" folder?!

Inocybe
Cortinarius
Agaric
I kind of gather that the first two are pretty damned tough without a microscope anyway.
I have my first foray onto sand dunes in a couple of weeks, I cant wait so thanks for prompting me to read up ahead of the day

| Yes, only I'm not even certain these are those species to start with - they were just my guesses!
