This is a Stropharia and could be either aeruginosa or caerulea.

Mal you say it could be either aeruginosa or caerulea, are they hard to tell apart,and is Stropharia common .

The blue/green quickly fades though, so you were lucky to catch them at this early stage.
Yes, telling them apart is difficult. It is partially down to how substantial the ring on the stem is (poor handling can loose the ring completely) and any 'white bits' around the cap edge. Even then, it is not easy.
