| | | Please help ID this little white chap I can't find anything like it in the Gallery photos, have been through a hundred pages...
Found 21st Aug at the base of Box Hill not far from the River Mole.
Can anyone ID or point me in the direction of it's family please?

This is the very early stage of a member of the Bolete family being attacked by another fungus called Sepedonium chrysospermun.
Later a mass of deep yellow asexual spores will cover the whole fungus and when it is almost beyond recognition as a 'toadstool' it will become reddish in colour, and now be in its sexual phase when the name should change to Hypomyces chrysospermus.
Oh, just call it Bolete Mould, everybody else does
