| | | Re: id please Number three is the Horses Hoof Fungus, otherwise known as the Tinder Fungus - Fomes Fomentarius. It's nearly always found on silver birch and is used in survival courses as it smoulders for ages so is used to carry a fire source from one camp site to another, hence the name tinder fungus. I'm not experienced enough to help with the other three - sorry! |

Just for the info, you can also use "cramp ball" (Daldinia concentrica)
for moving fire or as charcoal like blocks. These were used in the ironage.
Also known as king alfred's cakes.

and the one in pic 2 looks like an ageing Bolbitius titubans to me,(could be wrong though  )
