not a Hygrocybe - if you were to do a spore-print I would expect it to be pink, not white . . .
waxcaps have fewer, broader gills than in your fungus, the caps may be minutely scaly but are never as felty as this and they are . . . . well . . . . just more waxy
I suspect that you have Entoloma porphyrophaeum or something very close to it - let's see what Melanie thinks . . .
