Found on our morning walk with the kids near some trees on a slightly elevated bank, there were about 5 spread out over a 2 foot radius

Nice pics, but artistically good quality photographs don't always mean that they're going to be any good for an ID. Ideally, you want to photograph the specimen with a deeper depth of field so we can ascertain what's what with important macro characteristics. Lots of the details in the images is lost due to overexposure too.
Luckily, it's a pretty distinctive fungus and is part of the Chlorophyllum family. I'm unable to see the cap detail too much so I can't really comment on what species.
