| | | Late amanita phalloides? Hello, this is me again Having tried to locate some early deathcaps in August, I eventually arranged filming of a trio of them in the New Forest in early September. Thanks to everyone who advised! We're nearing the final cut, and before the end of the year I'll put up a link to a website about the film, assuming that's OK with the mods.
I've now been commissioned to make a second short film, this time informational, about how we made the first film, what safety training we gave, and how we minimized our ecological impact. For this, we need a few more minutes film of the fungus itself.
So my question is...does anyone know where there are some late specimens of amanita phalloides? Again, not too far north, if possible.
Thanks!

I think you may be unlucky. Amanita phalloides usually finish in September, everywhere in the UK. Last month the Cambs-Norfolk border was covered with them. I doubt there are any in East Anglia or anywhere else now.

PS Is the film suitably scary? |

| | | Re: Late amanita phalloides? Hi and thanks Dave and Nick.
When is the most recent time that anyone saw any amanita phalloides?
Yes, the first film is hopefully very scary, but the second will be the opposite, basically a safety film!
