Big frilly edged thing for ID
Across the cap is about the size of my palm, found in leaf litter, beech, oak, sweet chestnut and scots pine nearby. Sorry for the quality of images but this time of night the ipod was much easier than the camera and faffing in photoshop.

Underside reminds me of a chocolate flake!

I'd say it's a well aged Cortinarius The wavy edges are common in species that grow quite large.
