Fungus ID please
Can someone please tell me what this is?



Approx 4 inches across. Found amongst conifers.

hi

there's not a huge amount to go on, to be fair; plus when fungi start to flare up at the edges like this it usually means that they have passed maturity and may appear somewhat atypical

possibly a Melanoleuca, but that's something of a stab in the dark
