Lycogala terrestre or Lycogala epidendrum?

Hi All,

I took a photo of this specimen around July time and have only just had the time to upload the photo. Does anyone know which it is? For my part, I'm inclined to think it's Lycogala terrestre. It has a wonderful rich red hue to it!

I think you may be correct there Quinn! - This doesn't look like any Lycogala that I've seen. - Too flat, the surface markings definitely don't look right for Lycogala, but they do resemble those that occur on Fistulina hepatica. - Although I suspect it may have been too small for a definite ID.

No doubt those with more experience than myself will add further comment in due course.
