| | | Isn't Nature Brilliant! Hi all
Isn't Nature Brilliant! Don't we all wish we could predict! I've been to places that previously were fruitful, but this year are non-prolific. But the some places that over recent years were unpromising have now this season provided a bounty.
I'm sure many of you have seen post on various sites of things collected. I'm jealous of some, but maybe they are jealous of others who have found certain species in abundance, or indeed a rare appearance!
I'm not sure about other members of this forum, but I have had reports of fungi in areas that hasn't been known for years. Is it due to weather & climate? Examples - an elderley member of the local Bowls club (the green was set about 30 years ago) told me this was the first time he had ever seen "mushrooms" around the green fringes. (not on the green though). And the local cricket club outfield areas are flush with puffballs this week.
