| | | Orange Boletes for ID Evening all. I found some of these in longish grass in open grassland under small trees, some of them oaks. Caps are mostly 5-8cm and very smooth to touch. No smell at all. Pores are like tiny pentagons. |

its Chalciporus piperatus, the peppery bolete: cinnamon-coloured cap and gills, chrome yellow at stem base . . . .
