| | | Agaricus for ID please, + a giant sunshade!! Perhaps this is the one where someone responds with "fancy not getting that, it's easy, it's a ..... !"
7th October, Herefordshire Beacon/British Camp in the Malvern Hills, growing in short grassland grazed by sheep (sometimes) and rabbits (all the time). There were two growing together, 1st pic in situ. The stipe flesh and cap stained red where damaged. The 3rd pic is of one lower down the slope, in longer grass and close to some scrubby bushes/small trees which I failed to look at so have no idea what they were. I think it might be the same species but I didn't pick this one.
However, there was a very nice sunshade supplied nearby to protect my delicate skin from the autumn rays!
Any help with the Agaricus greatly appreciated.

Were conifers nearby ?

| | | Re: Agaricus for ID please, + a giant sunshade!! No conifers nearby; for the first ones, no trees at all nearby - just open grassland on a hill[fort]top.
That's why my little brain is confused as all I could find that sort of matched were described as growing in woodland.

Thanks. I used fill-in flash to light up the gills.
