Fungus found on pastureland.
I found this today on the local sheep grazed mountainside.It was the only one like this around .It was about 5" tall and quite sturdy.I'm sure it should be quite easy to identify but I am having no luck.

I suspect it's Macrolepiota procera, but those stem markings scarcely amount to a half-decent snakeskin . . . . .

Thanks Chris,I had wondered if it was Macrolepiota procera(I looked through the fungi Gallery. ) The stem does seem to be rather plainer than usual but I'm sure you're right.Thank you for your help.Barbara
