| | | help with two more please sorry i thought that i had these nailed but after more research im not sure.
small group of these growing on a bank at the side of a farm track. i thought white dapperling-leucoagaricus leucothites. but the stem isnt pure white.
growing in grass between gorse shrubs i thought butter waxcap-hygrocybe cerracea but the cap has a suede texture although appearance was shiny as with waxcaps.
can anyone confirm or put me right as usual. regards tn.

Not sure on the first one, but I think the second is Earthy Powdercap - Cystoderma amianthinum.
Regards,
Mike. |

| | | Re: help with two more please a quick tip tn . . . . . the second one has a ring - the remains of a veil - Hygrocybes don't have veils/rings so you could have ruled that out at an early stage
cheers
Chris PS Leucoagaricus leucothites does have a ring - yours (a young specimen, so in good condition to show presence / absence of that character) shows no evidence of a ring . . . .
