Good afternoon,
I've followed this forum for some time, and found the information and advice invaluable. I've collected edible mushrooms for about 3 years, the easy ones. Yesterday I came across these bolete in the new forest, there were about 20 of them, under oak near amanita muscuria.
I can't for the life of me identify them. The cap is suede like, rich chestnut bown with reddy bits where animals have chewed at them. They have no cracking on top at all, the pores are yellow immediately staining blue. The flesh stains blue immediately on cutting, and then fades to a grey colour.
I initially thought they were boletus luridformis, but the pores are yellow.
I hope that I have provided enough information in this post and thank everybody if they can help
Val
