| | | Death Cap or naked Panther Cap? I'm debating this one, one of my fellow hikers claimed it was an A. phalliodes (which is plausible due to losing most of the veil) but I think the cap was just a bit too brown to be classed as bronze and reckon it might be A. pantherina that's had a good dowsing. I saw many A. muscaria that had lost all veil remnants in the area. Alas this was another case where I wasn't allowed to remove it for study (this time it wasn't my girlfriend who objected but the wife of my fellow hiker) So all I have is this photo and as you know I have a tendency for not capturing the colour well  . Long shot or would anyone lay money either way?
