Hi all
out today and as I tramped across grassland I saw a bright cluster in the distance from around 100 yards away. You can just see the yellowy blob centre of picture

there I was wondering if it would be Laeteporus sulphereus but no
it was a huge amount of Shaggy scalycap Pholiota squarrosa.
There were dozens of these around the base of the tree.
There was a small bonus though! A few Shaggy Parasol Macrolepiota_rhacodes, with the distinctive stem reddenning when cut, right next to them
The tree was a huge old Ash, the trunk diameter well over 8 feet at the base.
