| | | White mushroom plus a bolete for ID help please These were all growing under pine.
#1 largest cap about 3cm smell "mushroomy" with very little taste.
I'm not sure if these are the same species - growing about a metre apart (Boletus badius?).
Many thanks, JohnB |

The first is something you'll soon be sick of seeing Collybia maculata . The caps develop brown spots and marks with maturity.
The second is interesting as I think you've managed 2 different species of Bolete! The picture of the Bolete on its own appears to show Boletus luridiformis and in the picture with 2 images, the one laying down appears to be B. badius. Look at the difference in the stipe between the two. The woody brown hues of the B. badius and the reddish blushing tones of the B. luridiformis. This is where cutting specimens in half for a bruising test would've paid off perfectly

I only really noticed the difference when I was processing them - teach me to be more observant in the field. Still learning but the bruising will be something for me to try.
