| | Bracket fungus for ID plse? This is on a tree stump- afraid I can't be sure which kind of tree, it could be deciduous, coniferous or even ornamental.
It's the black layer above the white which is confusing me most. Diameter-approx 9-10 cm

I was thinking along those lines because the black layer is quite shiny under a flash or in sunlight?
