Mystery fungus
This one's got me stumped, will no doubt turn out to be an Armillaria cepistipes but they were growing pretty much individually on the ground under overgrown hedgerow and not on stumps so just didn't seem right.

My other thoughts were a Cortinarius as there are some wispy bits at the edge or Gymnopilus but the gills aren't right.





OK, I'm stuck, HELP!
