| | | ID. Can anyone sort this out, please. These pictures were taken a couple of days ago in Aysgarth Wood, North Yorkshire.
Images 1 and 2 I have tentatively identified as Fiery Milk Cap (Lactarious pyrogalus) Growing under hazel.
Images 3 & 4. Also growing under hazel. These have defeated me. They show similarites with images 1 & 2 but the gills although a similar colour don't seem to be attached to the stem in the same way.
All help gratefully received.
