This one had approx 40mm cap growing on a fallen moss covered tree in broadleaved woodland.  |

Thankyou pauline, i have just read they are found on dead elm which there is plenty of in this wood.It was off the beaten track a bit and awkward to photograph but i am now glad i did  .

Yes i would have gladly introduced you both .I would normally have tried to get an low level shot of the underside as i have tried a few times lately but the ground was uneven and a bit of an obstacle course to get too . | | |
