| | When is best It has been suggested to me that 3 days after rain is the best time to search for fresh fungi. Would others agree with this advice? It occurs to me that this might hold true for some species more than others. |

| | | Re: When is best Well, it completely depends on the week beforehand too. The best way to find out is to get out and see how much is there |

| | | Re: When is best i am not sure if this is common happening at the moment, but i am walking the same tracks through fields and woods twice a week, and am having a ball with so many new fungi appearing each trip.I would say 2 or 3 trips a week is not too much covering the same ground,i think the intermittent rain spells have helped fungi explosions .I mix an massive interest in our natural world with a very hefty interest in photography, and often put my photo's of fungi on here for identification so i can label the photo's correctly and also slowly learn different fungi identifications, thanks to nick and the gang .
get out there now,you wont be disappointed. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
