| | | Two fungi from deciduous woods for ID ? Two more fungi that I'm having trouble to ID,
Growing on the side of a fallen rotting log, approx 1 1/2 inches across, a type of oyster fungi ?
This pair were growing amongst the leaf litter of a deciduous woods, about an inch tall, there were about a dozen or so in a patch about a metre square,
the cap colour looks very much the colour of verdi-gris, greenish grey ??
Thanks for any suggestions, Nick |

| | | Re: Two fungi from deciduous woods for ID ? To me, the first one does look like a young Pleurotus. Possibly P.ostreatus, or P.pulmonarius, but a little too young for me to be confident.
The second looks like Aniseed Funnel - Clytocybe odora, that hasn't yet flattened out from its early convex shape.
Regards,
Mike |
